Complementary Resources for Recovering
Brain and Body
Many Alliance members have explored a variety of potentially useful approaches to recovery of the brain and body. The following can amplify the benefits of core nutritional treatment methods:
Ear Acupuncture
Particularly a standardized protocol developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) (acudetox.com) that includes a reduction in pain and regulation of kidneys, liver, lung, and nervous system.
Electromedicine
Neurofeedback or cranial electrical stimulation. Neurofeedback uses electrical feedback programming between a computer or other specialized equipment and the brain while cranial electrical stimulation (CES) uses low level alternating current directed from a CES machine into the brain from probes placed on ear lobes. The goal of both systems is to eliminate pain, attention deficit or hyperactivity, anxiety, symptoms of post-traumatic stress, drug cravings, and other brain-based disorders
Hypnosis
Using the power of suggestion to strengthen a person’s willpower, rewrite conditioning, and thereby help overcome addictive thoughts and behaviors.
Qigong
All can be helpful but cannot substitute for nourishing brain neurotransmitters back to optimal function with individualized amino acids and nourishing the entire body with a Pro-Recovery Diet. See the story (here) of one of our innovative cofounders, and how he learned this lesson.
Chiropractic
Adjusting the spine to correct misalignments and improve nerve messages to organs and glands, smoothing the way for positive feelings to override stress and anxiety.
