Join us for the Alliance for Addiction Solutions Monthly educational forum, featuring Michele Perron, PhD and her discussion about Targeted Treatments for Alcohol Moderation: Naltrexone, Amino Acids, and Practical Insights.


This discussion will review the experience of clients seeking to moderate alcohol use. Discussion around targeted Naltrexone alone, addition on Amino Acids, and using Amino Acids alone to help clients reach their goals.


About the speaker:


Michele Perron received her PhD in Counseling Studies in 2014, was certified in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) in 2016, and will complete the Academy’s Nutrition Recovery Coaching (CNRC2) certification in October 2025. 


Michele Perron’s career began in 1984 with a BS in Veterinary Technology and employment for 5 years in veterinary cardiovascular research at Washington State University. In 1990 she received her MBA at The American Graduate School (Thunderbird) in Phoenix, AZ.  She opened and operated 6 restaurants for 13 years in MI & WI.  Desiring a more meaningful career, she decided to pursue addiction counseling in 2009 which led to writing a book in 2010 and furthering her education with a PhD in 2014. She became Senior Clinical Supervisor at a national telehealth addiction treatment agency where she developed policy, training, IT, and a Moderation Program  featuring The Sinclair Method which served more than 500 clients with a team of 10 trained counselors. After a company merger in 2024, Michele continued her work as a Sinclair Method Coach for the past year. For the last year she has incorporated Amino Acid and Nutritional components into her practice and is working on developing her business, a phone App, and a consumer book.
